Kauno Diena Interview
I’m incredibly excited to finally see that my interview with Monika Mašanauskaitė is out in the Kauno diena newspaper today!
This is an open and personal interview where I wanted share my views and experiences as a young musician which is sometimes not as easy and beautiful as some might think. It is not easy to talk about it but I hope to bring a sense of relief to anyone who reads it and relates to it!
You can read the digital version of the interview on the newspaper’s website here (Lithuanian).

Recording Thoughts
My very first video on my YouTube channel and also one of the first times recording in Duke's Hall, Royal Academy of Music!
I remember booking a recording session to record a completely different piece, but after a few unsuccessful takes I became more and more frustrated so I decided to play something unrelated to distract myself.
-''There is nothing worse than recording'' - a lot of musicians say. Unsuccessful takes and the pressure to get it done does not make it a great experience for many.
For me, the main reason recording sessions are more frustrating than fun is purely because of the expectation of perfection - ''it's a recording so it must be perfect!''.
This take was made with no expectations, as it was not even meant to be recorded. It was simply a play-through just for myself to calm down.
In the end of the session I did not like any of the recordings I made except this one - just a fun play-through. Ideally what I wish all the recording sessions were...
Tony and Tania Webster Prize
A little excerpt from the Tony/Tania Webster Prize in 2018 where I played 1-5 movements from the Partita no. 1 by G. Sviridov. Very happy to stumble across this recording and share the movements 4 and 5 which I believe I have not shared before.
Both so contrasting but absolutely brilliant! I remember feeling an extremely strong connection with this music and something like the 4th movement being so much more to me than just a nice piece of music.
I hope you enjoy this rarely performed composer full of incredible depth!
RCS Piano Festival
Extremely happy to share with you all our recent performance at the RCS Piano Festival of the Grosse Fuge by Beethoven!
A piece that was not only a huge artistic challenge but also made me appreciate and understand the composer so much more.
I hope you enjoy as much as we did!
