I remember booking a recording session to record a completely different piece, but after a few unsuccessful takes I became more and more frustrated so I decided to play something unrelated to distract myself.
-''There is nothing worse than recording'' - a lot of musicians say. Unsuccessful takes and the pressure to get it done does not make it a great experience for many.
For me, the main reason recording sessions are more frustrating than fun is purely because of the expectation of perfection - ''it's a recording so it must be perfect!''.
This take was made with no expectations, as it was not even meant to be recorded. It was simply a play-through just for myself to calm down.
In the end of the session I did not like any of the recordings I made except this one - just a fun play-through. Ideally what I wish all the recording sessions were...
